Suktel panel calls Balangir bandh Tuesday

Lower Suktel Action Committee has called for Balangir bandh on March 12 to press their demand for expediting the irrigation project work.

The Committee members have been protesting slow progress of work of the project whose deadline will end this month.

A member of the committee Girish Singhdeo said all the Central and State Government offices will remain closed on Tuesday while hospitals, schools and courts will remain open.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had laid the foundation stone for the project in November, 2001.
