A man was arrested for allegedly forging land documents to dupe a builder of Rs 30 lakh on Tuesday. The accused was identified as 40-year-old Akshay Kumar Mallick, a resident of Biridi in Jagatsinghpur district.
Mallick has been accused of forging documents of a piece of land in Patrapada and trying to pass it as his own. When he failed to return the money, the builder, Debakant Patnaik registered a case with Badagada police in December, last year.
Police found Mallick after tracking him for over two months. He was forwarded to court on Tuesday.
