Finish project works on time: RDC

Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Range) G Srinivasan has directed the district administration to complete all projects and schemes sponsored by the Centre and State Government by March-end.

 Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Range) G Srinivasan has directed the district administration to complete all projects and schemes sponsored by the Centre and State Government by March-end.

Presiding over a review meeting on developmental works with Department heads at Collectorate Conference hall on Saturday,  Srinivasan reviewed works under budget provisions of Agriculture, Horticulture, DRDA, Health, rural connectivity and other departments. 

Earlier, RDC had a discussion with Deputy Director of Agriculture and Health authorities. Health officials apprised him about vacant post of doctors in the hospitals that is affecting the services. RDC assured that he will report it to the higher officials.

The RDC also directed the officials to expedite development works under Biju Setu Yojana. He told them to speed up rural connectivity works, PMGSY, repair and renovation of water sources and tube-well. Expressing concern over land issues, he told the Tehsildars to complete mutation and encroachment cases at the earliest.

According to reports, the locals are disappointed over the slow  progress of encroachment cases which remain pending for years.

Explaining the difficulties faced by administration in certain cases, Collector Bishnu Prasad Panda apprised RDC on status of development works.

ADM Susama Rani Devi, Sub-Collectors PK Sahani, Narahari Sethi, Atulya Kumar Champati Ray, BDOs, Tehsildars and other department heads participated.
