Work unitedly, Fernandes tells partymen

Senior Congress leader Oscar Fernandes on Friday called upon the party workers to unitedly fight against the BJD Government in the State.

Addressing partymen here at the Congress Bhavan, he said there is no shortage of Congress workers and supporters in Odisha. But Congress has failed to utilise them properly.

Though the Centre has provided sufficient financial assistance to the State under different schemes, it has not been utilised fully because of the inefficiency of the Government. Fernandes alleged that Odisha is lagging behind because of lack of willpower of  the Government. It is putting all the blame on Centre to divert people’s attention from its failure, he said.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) general secretaries Arjya Kumar Gyanendra and Sabitri Sahu also spoke. The meeting was attended by many senior leaders.
