VSSUT Introduces Three New Courses

The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla has introduced three new courses from the current academic session.

SAMBALPUR: The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla has introduced three new courses from the current academic session.

The courses are BTech in Chemical Engineering and MTech in Microwave Engineering besides five-year integrated course in Physics. The admission of students will open for 66 seats in Chemical Engineering, 18 each in MTech in Microwave and integrated course in Physics. Vice-Chancellor of VSSUT Prof Bijoya Kumar Nanda revealed that the university was also planning to introduce Biotechnology and Mining Engineering from next academic session.

Presently, the VSSUT offers 10 graduate courses, 17 post-graduate courses, three MSc programmes besides MCA. As many as 2,800 students are studying in VSSUT now and around 1000 students will take admission during the current session.

Chairman of Public Relation Cell of VSSUT, Prakash Chandra Swain, said the university would prefer the GATE ranking for admission into the MTech in Microwave Engineering. Similarly, JEE rank would be taken into consideration for admission into Chemical Engineering course and university would conduct an entrance test for the five-year integrated course in Physics, he added.
