BHUBANESWAR: The body of a 30-year-old man was spotted in a well near Lingaraj Temple on Monday morning.
The locals spotted the body and informed the police who rushed to the spot and took out the body.
The deceased has been identified as Abhay Panda of Dhusuri in Bhadrak.
He owned a ‘bhog’ shop in Old Town area here and was residing on rent with his father, a temple priest and brother an auto-driver.
Police said Abhay was an alcoholic and they are looking into the possibility of him slipping into the well in an inebriated condition.
The body has been sent to Capital Hospital for autopsy and a case of unnatural death has been registered.
