BHUBANESWAR: Minister of State for Higher Education Pradip Kumar Panigrahi on Thursday said in the Assembly that marks secured by 1952 examinees were changed after re-checking and re-addition of Plus Two answer papers this year.

In a written reply to a question from Dilip Ray (BJP), the Minister said the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) had received 54,598 applications for re-checking/re-addition of answer papers.

Out of this, 16,694 were of the Arts stream, 33,460 of Science, 3,783 of commerce and 661 were of vocational education stream.

The Minister said so far, 37,429 answer papers have been rechecked and results intimated to the applicants through the website.

As all the answer papers are being computerised, providing xerox copies to the examinees is delayed, he said and added that xerox copies of the answer papers will be provided to the examinees through their colleges after the computerisation work is over.
