35 Labourers rescued, Agent Held

SUNDARGARH: A labour agent, Bhimsen Patel, was arrested and 35 labourers rescued during a joint raid by Town and Sadar police in Sundargarh district along with labour officials on Tuesday evening. Sundargarh SDPO PK Mohanty said Patel of Lefripara block was taking the labourers to Bamra station from where they were to travel to Goa. They were travelling in two pick-up vans. On noticing police, the drivers tried to speed away but the cops gave a chase and managed to nab them.
