KHURDA: With people resorting to panic buying of potato in anticipation of possible cyclone, Khurda district administration and officials of district unit of civil supplies department conducted joint raids on Khurda market on Tuesday.

Prices of onion too were jacked up by the traders who are cashing in on the situation.

The officials have asked the potato and onion sellers to sell the vegetables in th Government set price and warned them  of strict in case of violation of norms. However, potato and onion continued to be sold between RS 30 and RS 40.
