Control Rooms Opened

NABARANGPUR: The district administration has opened round-the-clock control rooms in the Collectorate and the office of the Sub-Collector. While people can contact the control room at the Collectorate on 06858-222434, a toll-free number 1077 has also been activated.

Additional District Magistrate Bhimsen Manseth said all measures have been taken to ensure minimum damage. All tehsildars have been directed to open control rooms in their offices and block level committees formed to supervise relief work. If the need arises, cooked food will be provided to evacuated people.

Chief District Medical Officer Niranjan Nayak said sufficient medicines have been stocked in district headquarters hospital, PHCs and CHCs and anganwadi centres. The district administration has decided to ensure round-the-clock power supply and a squad has been formed to rectify snags as and when required.
