Three Girls Rescued

RAYAGADA:  Three minor girl students were rescued from drowning in a pond by locals in Ringabai village of Durgi panchayat under Bisamcuttack block on Saturday.

Kundika Lali (10), Pidikaka Pramila (11) and Kalaka Namita(10) had reached the pond to take bath, when they slipped from the steps.

Hearing their screams, villagers rescued and admitted them to Durgi Primary Health Centre. Later, they were shifted to Christian Hospital at Bisamcuttack, where the condition of Namita is stated to be serious. The other two are stable.
