Massage Parlour Raid Five Held

BHUBANESWAR: As many as five persons were arrested and three girls rescued during a raid by Commissionerate of Police on a massage parlour near Sachivalaya Marg in the Capital City on Wednesday.

While police are verifying the age of the rescued girls, one of them is stated to be a minor. The ‘flash raid’ was carried out by Kharavela Nagar police on the basis of a tip-off.

Police said the raided parlour was being used to run flesh trade and immoral trafficking.

Locals said though the sex-trade racket was operating from a busy location here for the last one year, it caught notice of the police on Tuesday.

IIC of Kharvela Nagar police station Sanjib Satpathy said police have information about three similar rackets running in the same locality which will be busted soon.

The arrested persons were sent to judicial custody after they were produced in a local court. The rescued girls were sent to a short-stay home.
