DHENKANAL: Angul BJD MLA Rajnikanth Singh was injured when his car collided head-on with another four-wheeler at Belabaheli under Rasol police limits on Tuesday. His driver Ratikanta Paramaguru died in the accident.
The mishap took place near Rasol when Singh was on his way to Angul from Bhubaneswar.
The driver was declared dead at Hindol Sub-divisional hospital. Singh has been rushed to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
After the accident, the erring driver fled with the car from the spot.
