BERHAMPUR/SAMBALPUR:The students of MKCG Medical here on Tuesday squatted in front of the principal’s office protesting the decision to enroll students of Sardar Rajas Medical College of Kalahandi. They said the decision was taken at a time when the MKCG itself faces problems of infrastructure. A dharna at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, students of VIMSAR urged the State Government to move the High Court and get the order modified to protect the interest of meritorious students.
The HC had directed that students admitted to Sardar Rajas under Government quota be adjusted in VIMSAR and MKCG while those who got admission under management quota be taken in by private medical colleges.
