Girl Rescued

BERHAMPUR: Ganjam unit of BJP on Sunday demanded stringent action against the culprits who kidnapped and raped a minor girl of Pattapur in the district.

On Saturday, an eight-year-old girl was rescued by Government Railway Police (GRP)  from the station. As the girl was bleeding profusely, she was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital. The girl was reportedly missing since last 10 days. During investigation railway police managed to identity the victim and informed Pattapur police.

Pattapur police said, the girl went to a village temple with her parents to attend a religious discourse about 10 days ago and went missing from there. After failed attempts to locate her, her parents lodged a missing complaint with Pattapur police.

The BJP activists led by their president Bijay Kumar Swain met the parents of the victim at MKCGMCH.
