BHUBANESWAR: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids at 20 locations of Angel Agritech Limited including one in Odisha on Monday.
Of these 20 places, one each is located in Odisha and Jharkhand and the rest are in West Bengal. The sleuths also searched offices and residences of directors of the chit fund company. Raids were also conducted on residential premises of managing directors and directors SK Najibulla, Hasibul Haque, Sunirmal Goswami, Arindam Pal, Basudev Ghosh and Falguni Chatterjee.
CBI sources said the company had ignored SEBI’s guidelines and collected huge amount of deposit from the market. Angel Agritech Ltd was registered as a public company in February, 2010 at Kolkata. It is involved in agriculture and animal husbandry service.
