JAIPUR:  After the arrest of Al Qaeda operative Abdul Rehman Kataki, who was running a Madrasa in Tangi’s Biletaruan village, the State Government has asked all the District Education Officers (DEOs) to verify whether the Madrasas in their areas have been registered or not.

School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra said the DEOs have been directed to find out how many Madrasas across the State have been imparting informal education to their students.

“There are two types of Madrasas. Some Madrasas provide formal education and others impart informal or religious education,” the Minister said.

Mishra was speaking on the sidelines of golden jubilee function of Jabara Middle English (Nodal Upper Primary) and Jabara High School at Jabara in Rasulpur block of the district on Sunday.
