KISS Meet on Sociology

BHUBANESWAR: The 41st All-India sociological conference on ‘Development, Marginalisation and People’s Movements’ was hosted by Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in association with Indian Sociological Society here on Sunday.

The conference was aimed at discussing current research in sociology as a discipline which provides a perspective on development and social mobilisation. More than 1500 delegates from India and abroad attended the conference.

Activist of Narmada Bachao Andolan Medha Patkar inaugurated the meet and called for equal distribution of natural resources in a sustainable manner.
