BHUBANESWAR: A 56-year-old woman was diagnosed with swine flu on Thursday, taking the total number of affected to 12 in the State.
The woman, who has been admitted to a private hospital in the City, had travelled to Delhi as well as Mumbai where she is believed to have contracted the infection. However, her condition is alright, Health and Family Welfare department said.
Though swine flu has spread its tentacles in many parts of the country, its impact in Odisha has been low so far. Of 82 samples tested for swine flu so far, 12 have tested positive. Three deaths have been reported this year.
