Stop Speaking Distorted Odia: Soumya to naveen

BHUBANESWAR: Founder of Ama Odisha and former MP Soumya Ranjan Patnaik has called upon the Chief Minister to stop speaking in Odia in public platforms.

While wishing the CM on the New Year, Patnaik said, “you have tried your best to use Odia wherever possible in public speeches. But it hurts us when we hear our mother tongue being distorted in public platforms by the head of the Government. We, therefore, sincerely request you to not speak in Odia in your public addresses. Hindi or English will do”. Patnaik said, 2014 was an eventful one with BJD notching fourth successive win. But the land scam, chit fund scam and Hud Hud management have put question marks on the Government.

“However, let us put all these behind and look forward to good governance in 2015,”  Patnaik said.
