A senior police official said SP, Special Branch (Security), R N Das, has been entrusted with the task of inquiring into the incident and submit report as early as possible. Action will be taken after the inquiry report is received, he said.

The incident occurred during the inaugural function of Indian Roads Congress (IRC) here on Monday.

In a photograph published in a local daily, the PSO, J M Patel, a deputy commandant in Chief Minister’s security, was found sleeping. Patel was sitting behind the Chief Minister on the dais.
