Minor Rescued

BHUBANESWAR: Bhubaneswar Childline on Monday rescued a 10-year-old boy who was employed as a helper at a tiffin stall near Apollo Hospital under Saheed Nagar police limits. The minor was identified as Raja Gagri, a native of Chhatimath in Jajpur district.

In his statement before Khurda Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Raja said he was engaged in menial jobs at the food joint. Raja was often assaulted by his employer and forced to work till late night.

Taking cognisance of the matter, the CWC lodged a complaint against the victim’s employer at Saheed Nagar police station.
