Puri Rail Line Doubling: ECoR Adjusts Timings

BHUBANESWAR: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has extended schedule adjustments of trains running on the route up to July 2 because of the ongoing line doubling work between Sakhigopal and Puri railway station.

As a result, some of the trains will be short terminated at Khurda Road and Cuttack and cancelled to and from Puri.

The Sambalpur-Puri Inter City Express and Talcher-Puri passenger originating from Sambalpur and Talcher respectively will be short terminated at Khurda Road.

Similarly, the Howrah-Puri passenger and Gunupur-Puri passenger originating from Howrah and Gunupur respectively will be short terminated at Khurda Road.

Apart from this, Rourkela-Puri passenger, scheduled to arrive at Puri on July 2, will be short terminated at Cuttack and return to Rourkela on July 3.

The Puri-Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express, Puri-Barbil-Puri Inter City Express, Barbil-Chakradharpur-Barbil Express, Puri-Paradeep-Puri Inter City Express, Paradeep-Cuttack-Paradeep passenger and Puri-Khurda Road-Puri passenger will remain cancelled from both directions, a ECoR release said.
