CUTTACK: The financial irregularities committed by officials of the Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC), Bhawanipatna division is estimated to be over `10 crore, spanning four districts.
The State Vigilance on Wednesday formed a special team led by a DSP and two officers to probe the scam even as cases have been registered against three officials of the OPHWC Bhawanipatna division. The officials include joint manager Achyutananda Routray, junior assistant Bishnu Charan Behera and clerk Maheswar Das.
Massive financial irregularities to the tune of `10.27 crore have been detected in around 38 projects executed by the Corporation in Kalahandi, Balangir, Sonepur and Nuapada districts, Director, Vigilance KB Singh told on Wednesday.
