PURI: The Ministry of Environment and Forest in adherence to the Supreme Court directive has reconstituted State Coastal Zone Management body. A 14-member body has been notified for the State to consider environment clearance applications for all developmental projects. The proposals have been sent to the national body for approval and necessary permission. This apart the authority would enforce legal procedures against the violators of CRZ norms. As per the notification, the body has the power to probe into environment violation cases and award punishment.
