SONEPUR:Balram Meher (34) of Brahmanipali under Rampur police limits of Bargarh district was arrested on Tuesday and fake currency amounting to Rs one lakh seized.
Police nabbed him from a dhaba at Sarasmal along Rampur-Barpali road. As many as 100 notes of Rs 500 denomination and 500 notes of Rs 100 denomination were seized from his bag.
He was planning to exchange those in Rampur weekly market when he was nabbed, IIC of Rampur police station Hemsagar Bhoi said.
