BHUBANESWAR: Unidentified miscreants on Friday night hurled petrol bombs at the house of Mustaq Ali at Azad Nagar in Sunderpada under Airfield police limits.
While Ali and his family escaped unhurt, the house was damaged. Police said that Mustaq had lodged a complaint against Sk Ahmed Ali and his family members of the same area on July 7 alleging assault on his relatives.
A member of Ahmed’s family was also arrested in this connection. Ahmed, who nursed a grudge against Mustaq, threatened him with dire consequences if he did not withdraw the case. Police suspect the hand of Ahmed behind Friday’s incident. A case has been registered.
