Three Meet Watery Grave in Paradip

PARADIP:Three persons, two of them from Bihar, drowned in the sea here on Saturday. Two of them were identified as Pankaj Singh (20) and Mohammad Abid (21) of Begusarai district in Bihar. Identity of the third person was yet to be ascertained. The three were bathing in the sea when the mishap occurred.

Both Singh and Abid were colleagues in a private company at Paradip. All the three bodies were found floating near the beach.

The IIC of Marine police station, Manoranjan Chaudhary, said efforts are on to identify the third deceased. The bodies have been sent to Kujang Hospital for post-mortem.

Last week, three tourists had died while bathing in sea at Paradip.

These incidents have raised questions on measures being taken by the district administration for safety of tourists on the sea beach.
