BHUBANESWAR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) sleuths on Monday quizzed Anurag Patnaik, a Director of Altrade Group.
Anurag is son of Indrani Patnaik of Indrani Patnaik Mines which came under raids recently for alleged illegal mining and money laundering. He was interrogated for about seven hours at the ED office here.
Anurag, who emerged from the ED office at about 5 pm, told mediapersons that he was quizzed about accounts of Altrade Group. While Anurag said he has nothing to do with Indrani Patnaik Mines, he reportedly submitted document sought by ED. Since Altrade is the Group Company under which Indrani Patnaik Mines and other firms operate, ED is probing whether money was channelised through it.
On July 9, ED had raided 15 places across India, including 10 in State, to probe money laundering in illegal mining case. Earlier, ED had summoned officials of Sirajuddin & Co, Indrani Patnaik Mines, Triveni Earthmovers and Ma Kuanria Transport, a firm in which Champua MLA Sanatan Mahakud is a partner.
