Deogarh Road Damaged in Rain

DEOGARH:Heavy downpour in Deogarh town all through Sunday night paralysed normal life even as the district recorded 137 mm of rainfall. The approach road to a bridge near Purunagarh in Deogarh town on National Highway 53 was breached snapping communication to Reamal and Angul. This apart, boundary walls of two houses were damaged in Rajamunda in Deogarh town, while water entered the office of the District Education Officer located at Raja Basudeb High School.

Two dhabas along NH-53 near Kailash village under Tileibani block also collapsed. Similarly, overflowing Sabarpada Nullah damaged six houses in village Tainsar under the block.
