BARGARH :Sambalpur Vigilance has registered a case against former block development officer Braja Kishore Nayak and former additional block development officer Dilip Kumar Pradhan of Gaisilet for irregularities in the implementation of Individual House Hold Latrines (IHHL) scheme in the district.
Nayak and Pradhan have been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act and section 468/ 471/ 201/120-B of IPC for abusing their official position by showing undue favour to Bhuban Behera, Byasadeb Behera, Sanjib Bhoi, Premika Sahu, Yubraj Behera, Rajendra Kumar Agrawal and Arabinda Chandra Pada and others of the block for construction of IHHL.
Vigilance sleuths have registered a case against all of them for submitting forged documents and producing false bills in the name of genuine BPL beneficiaries. The block officials had issued Rs 11.87 lakh to them under the scheme causing loss to the Government. The Sambalpur Vigilance Division is also verifying the implementation of the scheme in other blocks of the district to ascertain whether there are irregularities/misappropriation in execution of IHHL work.
