Woman Found Dead in House

BHUBANESWAR: A 62-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her Aerodrome Area house on Saturday evening. Manuprava Das, as she was identified, is believed to have been murdered.

The house was locked from outside when police reached the place and had to break in to locate the body.

 Manuprava was last seen a week ago by her  neighbours. She was living alone in her New Forest Colony house in the area. She was single. Airfield Police has sealed the premises. Post mortem will be conducted tomorrow.

Constable suspended

Sadananda Kanhar, a constable with the Human Rights Protection Cell, has been suspended for his alleged role in the question paper leak in the police constable examination.

 The Crime Branch, which was probing into the matter, recommended his suspension.

It has also launched a manhunt to arrest Kanhar who is untraceable.
