BARGARH :The junior engineer of RWSS in Ambabhona block, Sambhu Saran, was arrested by Vigilance sleuths for demanding a bribe of `20,000 on Tuesday. He had sought the money from one Gobinda Dehury to pass a bill related to Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) construction scheme at Baddhara village.
Dehury informed the Vigilance sleuths who laid a trap. Saran had asked one Sudhir Behera of Baddarlipali to collect the money from Dehury on his behalf. When the Vigilance sleuths caught hold of Behera while accepting the money from Dehury, he informed them that Saran had asked him to do so. Subsequently, the junior engineer was arrested.
