CUTTACK: The Cuttack district administration on Thursday cancelled the registration of Cuttack Nagar Yuvak Sangha(CNYS), floated by the notorious Dhal Samanta brothers.
The registration was cancelled by Additional District Magistrate-cum-Additional District Society Registration Officer, Cuttack Laxmidhar Mohanty basing on the petition submitted by Commissionerate Police following arrest of the gangster brothers.
In the petition, the police had stated that the duo collected crores of rupees in form of donation through members of the organisation. Its president Sushil Dhal Samanta and a majority of members, accused of tender fixing, extortion, murder and illegal lifting of minerals, had formed a crime network through the organisation, it added.
