Operation Smile-2, Success in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: The countrywide Operation Smile-2 campaign, which started in January this year to trace out missing children, has achieved significant success in Odisha rescuing 515 children.

During the first phase of search operation, which was carried out from January 1 to 15 in the state, the Odisha police were able to recover 330 children.

Meanwhile, 185 children were rescued outside the state during the second phase of the drive that ended on January 31. The operation was launched in the state with joint efforts of Odisha Police and Women and Child Development Department to rescue and rehabilitate the missing children.
