KORAPUT: Road between Semiliguda and Damanjodi was blocked for several hours here on Saturday following death of a person in an accident. The deceased is Madhu Guntha and the accident took place near Mania village under Semiliguda police limits.
He was working as a watchman in a stone crusher unit in Mania and was returning home in the morning when a speeding truck ran over him. The truck was going towards Damanjodi from Semiliguda.
Protesting the accident, irked villagers blocked the road and demanded compensation for the family of the deceased. Semiliguda Police rushed to the spot and assured them to look into the demand following which the blockade was cleared.
