Modi's Hoarding Set Afire

PARADIP: A hoarding of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was set on fire by miscreants in front of Paradip police station late on Saturday.

Alleging involvement of BJD workers in the incident, BJP leaders Samir Dey and Manmohan Samal gheraoed the Paradip police station on Saturday morning demanding action against the accused. They have also registered a police complaint.

On Friday, workers of both the parties had clashed with each other over putting up of publicity materials. The BJP workers had erected banners, posters and hoarding of Modi and other leaders of the party from Zero Point to Paradip Refinery site, a stretch of 7 km, in the last three days.

The party workers alleged that their BJD counterparts destroyed the publicity materials on this stretch and put up banners, posters and hoarding of the ruling party at several points on the same stretch.
