Man Robbed

BHUBANESWAR:  A 30-year-old man was attacked and robbed by two bike-borne miscreants at Rajmahal square on Monday morning.

According to police, one Panu Charan Dehury was waiting for a city bus near Rajmahal flyover. At around 10.30 am, two motorcyclists came from Bapuji Nagar side and tried to snatch Panu’s bag.

As he resisted, the pillion rider attacked him with a bhujali and fled with the bag. Panu sustained severe cuts on his hand and was rushed to Capital Hospital by onlookers.

There was `2000 and a mobile phone in the bag. Panu, a resident of Shantipalli slum in Saheed Nagar, lodged a complaint with Capital Police.
