Assembly Panel Visit

SALEPUR: A five-member Assembly Standing Committee for Welfare of SC/ST inspected Biswanahakani High School, Tulasipur Ashram School in Tangi, Bahugram Degree College and Salepur Autonomous College here on Wednesday. They expressed concern over poor infrastructure facilities for SC and ST students in the institutions. The committee recommended setting up a 200-bed hostel in Biswanahakani High School and 100-bed hostel in Tulasipur High School and proposed development of latrines and boundary walls.

The team also recommended setting up three hostels in Salepur Autonomous College for OBC and SC students. The committee also visited a ladies hostel at Chauliaganj in Cuttack and Bahugram Degree College.
