BHUBANESWAR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday grilled founder of Prabhujee English Medium School Swami Shankarananda Giri over foreign exchange transactions and misappropriation of funds.
The marathon interrogation of Giri lasted for about eight hours. His funding sources, transactions and expenditure came under scanner. A Danish national had lodged a case against Giri with Sahid Nagar police in 2010 for breaching agreement and not returning his money which ran into several crores of rupees. The agreement was carried out in a foreign country.
After his interrogation, Giri told mediapersons that he provided details to the ED about financial affairs. He also claimed that he has repaid the money in question to the Danish national.
