KORAPUT: Two Maoist militia members of Boipariguda area committee under Malkangiri-Koraput Border Divisional Committee were arrested by District Police from Boipariguda on Friday. They are Basudev Pradhani of Kodkipani village and Bhagban Minarbelia of Mathpadarguda village.
DIG (South West range) S Saini said both of them were closely associated with Malkangiri-Koraput border Divisional Committee Secretary Rama Kawasi alias Surya.
Both of them were working for Boipariguda area committee for the past five years. Initially, they were supplying food, shelter and other logistical support to the Maoists. Subsequently, they became members of the Maoist outfit. All the four were involved in killing of a local businessman, Sakti Sankar Samant, and an ambush that claimed lives of two BSF personnel recently. They were forwarded to court.
