BHUBANESWAR: The Dhal Samanta brothers were sent to judicial custody by Cuttack SDJM after police did not seek an extension of their remand on Sunday.
However, it may seek further custody in the Farooq murder case at a later date when police come up with more evidence.
So far, at least 11 cases including murder have been registered against the two brothers.
As many as 14 people have been arrested for their links with the gangster siblings.
