JEYPORE: The Centre is all set to establish an IT park in Jeypore this year to boost the technology sector in KBK districts.

As per the State Government’s proposal, the Information and Technology department of the Centre had agreed to set up the IT park in Jeypore.

A Central team had come to Jeypore four months back to select a site for the park. The team had selected three-acre land in Phulbad, near Jeypore airstrip, for the park.

On Saturday, a high level team, comprising IT Department Director-General Omkar Ray visited the proposed site.

The Centre would spend about `30 crore for the project with a target to complete it by 2019.
