BERHAMPUR: The number of dengue affected persons has been gone up to 65 in Girisola of Chikiti block of the district. As many as 15 persons, including nine minors of Girisola, tested positive for dengue. They have been admitted in a private hospital at Visakhapatnam in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.  Though they were examined and confirmed dengue positive for fever at Ichhapur, they left for a private nursing home in Andhra Pradesh instead of reaching MKCGMCH. Two days back a five-year-old died of the disease in a hospital in Visakhapatnam.  Meanwhile, five of the dengue positive patients treated at Visakhapatnam have returned home on Tuesday, but in the absence of measures to clean clogged drains and stagnant water a relapse of the fever is being feared. A delegation of BJP leaders visited Girisola on Tuesday and expressed concern over the sanitation system.
