BHUBANESWAR: Passengers of Tata-Barbil Passenger train had a close shave as the train engine derailed after hitting a big boulder on the tracks near Nalda on Monday night.
Nalda, which is located on the border of Odisha and Jharkhand, is about 10 km from Barbil. The incident occurred between 9 pm and 9.30 pm.

Keonjhar SP Rajesh Pandit said there was no damage to the engine and no one was injured in the incident. The boulder had apparently slipped on to the tracks following heavy rains over the last two days. At least three wheels of the engine jumped the tracks after the mishap.Barbil Police rushed to the spot and arranged conveyance for the local passengers.
