At least six persons, including five members of a family, were injured in a clash that broke out between supporters of BJD
Six injured in poll violence in Kendrapara
  1. KENDRAPARA: At least six persons, including five members of a family, were injured in a clash that broke out between supporters of BJD and BJP in Rajagada village under Mahakalapada block of Kendrapara district on Friday night.


The injured  are Rabindra Lenka (52), his wife Pravabati Lenka (48), the couple’s son Amiya (23), daughter Rashmi (20), a relative Sanjaya Lenka(34)  __ all supporters of BJD __ and  Sachitra Rout (32),  a BJP supporter of Rajagada. Rabindra, Pravabati and Amiya suffered serious head injuries and have been shifted to SCB Medical, Cuttack. Police have filed cases against some supporters of BJP and BJD.  


Security has been tightened in the village after the incident, said  Mahakalapada police station IIC Sukant Kumar Patra.
