PARADIP : The women of Biswali and Rangiagarh villages under Kujang block prevented Cooperation and Excise Minister Damodar Rout from entering their villages for election campaign on Sunday protesting lack of development  in Biswali and Paradipgarh panchayats.

Biswali and Paradipgarh panchayats under Kujang block have been neglected by the Government, they claimed. Rout, despite being a local MLA, has shown little interest towards development of the panchayats.

Earlier, the villagers had met Rout and sought his intervention for taking initiative for development but he allegedly did not initiate any measures leaving the villagers aggrieved.
