Jyotirmoy Dalai elected Puri Zilla Parishad chief

Jyotirmoy Dalai, who was elected as ZP member from Zone 6 of Kakatpur block, has been elected as the chairperson of Puri Zilla Parishad.

PURI: Jyotirmoy Dalai, who was elected as ZP member from Zone 6 of Kakatpur block, has been elected as the chairperson of Puri Zilla Parishad.


 The BJD had bagged nine blocks and an Independent candidate won one seat. 
Sarojini Behera of Birapratappur gram panchayat (GP) was elected as chairperson of Puri Sadar, Sasmita Pradhan of Biraramchandrapur GP for Satyabadi, Pipili block was won by Kalpana Samantray, Prasanna Sahoo of Kothbada GP was elected to Delanga block, Ramchandra Sethy of Dibyasinghpur GP was elected to Kanas GP, Manaswiny Khatoi was elected as chairperson of Nimapara block, Manorama Swain of Bhandarghar GP was elected to Kakatpur block, Prasanna Kumar Parida was elected as chairman of Gop block, Naliniprava Baral was elected as chairperson of Brahmagiri block, Sundarmani Mansingh was elected as chairperson of Krushnaparasad block while Swadhin Nayak (Independent) was re-elected as chairperson of Astaranga block.
