Another dengue patient dies in Cuttak

The deceased, identified as Trailokya Barik (32), was a native of Dimiria village under Nandipada police limits in Keonjhar district.

CUTTACK: Another dengue patient succumbed at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as Trailokya Barik (32), was a native of Dimiria village under Nandipada police limits in Keonjhar district. Barik was admitted to SCBMCH on June 22 after he tested dengue positive. While undergoing treatment in the ICU of Medicine Ward, he succumbed on June 24.

This is the second dengue death of the State this season. The first dengue death was reported when a woman from the BDA Colony in Chandrasekharpur succumbed to the disease on June 7.According to Dr SP Mohanty, assistant nodal officer of SCB Dengue Ward, four dengue patients are now undergoing treatment in special bed arranged in the casualty building. One of them has been shifted to ICU.
