Plus two first phase cut-off list out in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: The School and Mass Education Department on Friday released first phase cut-off and merit list for admission to various Plus II courses in junior colleges across the State. As per the list, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack remains the favourite for students opting science stream. The school tops the Science cut-off list with 88.83 per cent. Likewise, Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar tops in Commerce stream with 78.2 per cent cut-off.

Patita Paban Higher Secondary School at Ghasipura in Keonjhar has the highest cut-off mark of 78.67 per cent in Arts stream.Dhruba Charan Sanskrit Higher Secondary School at Baliapal has bagged the top slot with 68.5 per cent cut-off in Sanskrit while Government Vocational Higher Secondary School at Balakati has the highest cut-off mark of 85 per cent in Vocational stream.

Officials said the students can check their names in both the lists at samsodisha.gov.in.Based on the first merit list, admission process for academic year of 2018-2019 will be held between July 2 and 5.
As per the notification of the School and Mass Education Department, the second cut-off list will be declared on July 10 and the classes for Plus II first year students will commence from July 24.
As many as 4,41,603 students had registered for admission into Plus II courses this year of which  around 3.41lakh students have been selected for admission, official sources said.
